Last week benefit auctioneers and clients hustled to keep clients events moving forward. Personally, I was up at 5am and ending my days at 2am the next morning to assist Auction brio llc. clients with hour by hour adjustments. Many of us had clients who had events coming up within the next 24-72 hours of the government restricting gatherings from 500 to 250 to 100 to 50 to 10 people and now we are in a stay in place order.

So what now? As we adapt to the hourly changes, clients are at home handling so many different situations with their family that the benefit gala or fundraising auction priority has dropped on the list of priorities. That’s fine. We need to address family and friends first in this moment of crisis.

Last week Auction brio llc. worked diligently to set up technicians and videographers so we could help continue fundraising opportunities for any client who wanted to do so. That was last week. Each week is presenting itself with a change of direction in restrictions and our current state of mind. By mid week of March 18-20 I decided to do what had been told to me as an auctioneer in auction school and through my advanced earnings of the Certified Auctioneers Institute (CAI), Benefit Auctioneer Specialist (BAS) and Certified Estate Specialist (CES) certifications.

As professional and licensed auctioneers, we are caretakers for our clients. As a certified Benefit Auctioneer Specialist we raise much needed funds to aid programs, financial aid, medical treatments and shelter for millions in our country that need this assistance. The auctioneer is the leader and the trusted person that our clients put their emotions and faith in to help them raise those dollars. As a Certified Estate Specialist, we handle situations that are very emotional. We handle the selling of precious and cherished memories. Whether it is a home or possessions, there is a memory attached to each item and if nothing more, it carries sentimental value.

I do not know what I can do that this point for my clients but that can all change tomorrow with a new need that may arise. The response from my clients for reaching out to them extending our genuine caring and asking “what can I do” or to tell them that “I am always available for you” has provided remarkable responses. Clients responded saying, “we really appreciate your partnership. Thank you so much! You are the best! It is always good hearing from you, thank you. Thank you for caring about us.”

We are all in this together and as professional auctioneers we can help. We have always been the problem solvers and can can be so at this time if we are needed.

The great philosopher Plato said necessity is the mother of invention. Professional auctioneers may just be the necessity that invents a solution for our clients.

Auction brio llc wishes to help you is any way we can. Be safe everyone and lets help each other.
